PBL

Hi there
For this term our question for PBL (Project Base Learning) is How can we speak up to Discrimination in a Podcast, Ted talk, Poetry slam or Drama and we will be going live on YouTube during the day as well. I am doing a podcast with my friend Brent and we are going to be talking to Finn about what he think racism is too.

WS week 7

This week in my Reading work shop my goal was to  Identify several ideas, discuss the author's stance or purpose, and understand the relationships in text and this was a task that I did

Bingo card blog

This week we did a bingo card on our work we had to do at least 4 task including a must do maths year 10 problem solving task that you have to do a screencastify. This is a the first 3 question of my year 10 problem solving.

Break Out E.D.U

This week the a year 8 leadership group called the googlers set up a breakout E.D.U. It is a lot like an escape room because you have to find clues to Finnish the the task. We did it in our current events groups and my group got one of the fastest time. Overall I thought it was good and I enjoy it because it was time off school work.

Teachers Strike

This week on Wednesday all the teachers in New Zealand went on strike so me, Guy, Sam, Reuben and Finn thought it was a good idea for us to go to Q.E pool to have a swim. We all met up at the pool at 1 PM and got our hydro slide passes and walk in. First we went on the hydro slide and once Finn arived we play on the inflatables and pushed each other of them. Technology blog

Hello there
This week at technology we were making bags and putting  designs on them and an environmental
message to go with it. My message is save the ducks because the duck shooting season has recently been and I can put a cool design that relates to that as well. With my design I traced it and put it on my fabric then I coloured it in with fabric pens. Now i'm up to sewing my bag and doing little touch ups.

Speech Intro

Hello

This week we have been writing speeches on different types of discrimination and I did mine on racism. Here is my intro and first paragraph.

Racism isn’t something you are born with, it is something you learn.

Did you know 60% of New Zealanders that have been discriminated against is because of their race. That is more than half the people  in New Zealand who have been discriminated against.

CASUAL RACISM

Racism happens in your everyday life and it can happen without you knowing it. Things like Asians are smart just because they are Asian or pacific islander are good at rugby just because they are pacific islanders. It is not right just to say that someone is good or bad at something because of their race and skin colour. Someone could have worked really hard to make a team or achieve something big and then someone says it is because he's different skin for an excuse but it is actually racism.

Thursday sport blog

Hello

This term we have been going to winter sport and  i'm doing is rugby for my sport. There were 3 other sports to choose from which were hockey, netball and soccer. So far we have been doing good with 4 easy win but yet to face 2 other teams. for my position i'm playing second five which is in the backs.

overall i have been really enjoying it and I cant wait to play the next to teams.
