Week 4

This week in my reading work we have been learn how to use a range of strategies, such as inferring, to work out more complex words and this is what we did.

TERM 2 GOALS

In this blog I am talking about my term 2 blogs. We had to come up with 3 goals for this term.We had to have one about Winter Sport, a learning goal and a goal of my own choice. 

Here are my goals. 

Winter sport:

To try best the best team mate that I can be, and also play as hard as I can 

Learning:

To understand difficult text and improve my reading speed.

Own choice:   

To make top ten in Canterbury's in cross country.

Cross country term 2

Hello
This week we had our school cross country. The year 1/2 ran 500m  the year  3/4 ran 1500m the year 5/6 ran 2000m and my year group ran 3000m .My year group had going first and I wasn't happy about that because I like going last so I get a good worm up. I found the run really enjoyable and will do it next year in high school. At the end of the day I won and  I cant wait till the next round which is zones.

Hi i'm Flynn and this week my class has been doing art on discrimination.
It needed to include a logo,a picture of your self, a quote poem or story on discrimination,last but not leased a slogan. We started off with design it in my line book. For me I started off design my logo because I had a clear picture in my head of what I wanted it to look like. Then I found a Quote on line about racism and put that on. Next I took a photo of my self and edited it to make I look better. After that I printed out my photo and  stuck it to a A3 sheet of paper and wrote my quote on with a vivid. Lastly I put drew my logo on and coloured it in. 

PBL term 2

Our PBL this week we  are learning about discrimination  and what we can do to stop it. First up we we learnt about the different types of discrimination like sexism, racism  and a lot more. Then we went to do art about discrimination and put in a quote about how to stop discrimination. while the day was going on the teachers did a couple act of discrimination on us so we had an understanding of how it felt to be on the receiving end. One of the acts was that people with blue eyes had to stand with there arm folded for ten minute and people who didn't have blue eye got to sit down. This act of discrimination gave me a better understanding of what it felt like to be discriminated against so we can stop it.
